Welcome Class 02-05

Glad You're With Us!

We are very glad that you decided to join us. I know that if you're just starting out, it is very hard. In fact, it can be very frustrating because your body just won't do what it once did. You will struggle throughout the eight weeks but keep at it. It's supposed to be hard, even for the old hats. The TAC officer's jobs are to push you to more than you think you can.

With that in mind, do listen to your bodies. If you are injured, please let a TAC officer know. They will gladly modify your activity to accomodate an injury. The important thing is to stay active, keep the heart rate up, expand the lungs, and work the muscles.

When you're working out, try to keep the long term in mind. Remember what Paul wrote in Phillippians 3:12-14,
"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is hehind and straining toward what is ahead, press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

Race for the Cure

We are planning to run the 6th Annual Komen Triad Race For The Cure on May 7th. We plan to run the 5k race in formation and with cadences. This provides a great goal and one that we can use to encourage each other. It's also an excellent opportunity to share our boot camp experience with the general public.

Registration cost is $18. Click on the link above for more details regarding the race time and location. Click here to register online as a member of Ice Breakers.

First the good news: arrangements are being made for class shirts. Now the bad news: it is most likely that only one shirt will be issued this time around since the availability of the shirts is limited. We are trying to procure shirts that match those former class members already have.

$Class Fee$

The fee for the boot camp is $10. If you are unable to pay, please contact a TAC officer and let him or her know. They will make arrangements for your fee to be paid. If you are able, please pay the fee as soon as possible.

Daylight Savings Time - Spring Forward

Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead an hour Saturday night! Otherwise you may find yourself an hour late to Church.
