Blogger Vacation Over

The Return of the Blog

Although this blogger has been remiss in keeping up for the last two weeks, the Boot Camp has continued with an abundance of activity behind the scenes. Check out the following...

Six Weeks Done, Two Weeks Remaining

We have only two more weeks in this eight week cycle. It's not a bad time to reflect back over the last six weeks and assess where you are now compared to where you started. Chances are that your stamina has greatly improved, you're sleeping deeper, and, except for the sore muscles, are generally feeling better.

Just by showing up consistently you have shown your resolve and dedication, of which you should be proud. It's not easy to get up around 500 hours three days a week, especially after the intensity of some of the workouts.

Ice Breakers

Class 01-05 has officially chosen the name "Ice Breakers." Mind - Body - Spirit: Ice Breakers!

Myrtle Beach Marathon Participants

Ice Breakers had six participants in various races in Myrtle Beach on Saturday, February 19.

Team P.U.S.H., aka Katherine, Nina, and Suprina, and two others ran the marathon relay. They placed 109 out of 157 teams with a total time of 4 hours, 23 minutes, 6 seconds. Suprina ran it with bronchitis - what a trooper!

The Titans, of whom Gena and Jennifer were members, also ran the relay. They finished in the very respectable time of 4 hours, 10 minutes, 46 seconds, giving them the 87th spot.

Crystal ran the half-marathon (that's 13 miles folks), placing 950th with a total time of 2 hours, 9 minutes, 9 seconds. Iron Woman!

Appalachian Trail Hike Planned

Frank is in the process of planning a two day hike of the Appalachian Trail. The hike is tentatively planned for April 30 and May 1. He is developing a packing list and working on getting Meals Ready to Eat (MREs). If you are interested, please send him an e-mail indicating so.
