Week Two Wrap-up

You're 25% Done

Believe it or not, we're a quarter of the way through the cycle! It's great that you're sticking with it ... as if you have a choice, hee, hee.

Feeling better, worse, or the same? When I started the first cycle, I had a low level of nausea for the first three weeks. Leave a comment and let us know how you're feeling.

Boot Camp Shirts

I was asked where we obtained the boot camp shirts. The shirts were donated by the employer of one of the participants in the first cycle. Frank distributed them to the class members during the sixth week of the cycle. Stay with us and you will likely receive a set too.

Myrtle Beach Relay

Many of you probably received an e-mail from Katherine regarding the Myrtle Beach Marathon to be held on the weekend of February 18th-20th. To visit the official site and obtain more details, click on the logo above.

Inclement Weather

Checkout the the inclement weather link on the CalvaryNow.com site for Calvary's closing and delay notices.

Class Name

So far we have had one suggestion for a class name. John K. has suggested "Calvary Pride." See his previous comment on why he thinks this is a good name.

Don't hesitate to make other suggestions. By bringing up alternatives, we can better define and refine the significance and meaning of the name.

Stay warm!

God Bless,
Bob H.

Comments:
I thought some of you may be interested in this link I found: http://www.he.net/~zone/prothd2.html. It is a way to calculate body fat percentage using simple body measurements and weight. Bob, I don't know how to list it with the links -- if you find it helpful and can put it with the other links, that would be great. I know that the most accurate ways to calculate body fat are either the water test or using calipers, but this is good enough to estimate.

From past exercise experiences, I realized the importance of body measurements and body fat percentage even moreso than weight as a determination of progress or success. So, when I first began working out with Dawn Busters, I took my measurements. After four weeks (Dec. 6 - Jan. 3), I lost only two pounds, but I lost over 11 inches (from upper arms, chest, waist, abs, hips, upper legs), two pants sizes and 3% body fat.

I recommend taking these measurements once a month...and don't get on the scale too often! I still have a ways to go, but I can't believe the difference in the way I feel. Thanks to all those Dawn Busters who worked out during the off weeks and encouraged me to stick with it!

I can do all things in him [Christ] who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Blessings,
Michelle
